We all know that I love makeup and I love a good deal even more than I love makeup! So it is no surprise that this video by beauty expert Emily Noel @emilynoel83 on YouTube caught my attention. In this video Emily shares six of her favorite MAC lipsticks, and some low cost drugstore dupes.
Makeup can be expensive, so being able to find a great inexpensive dupe is always a bonus. I personally really enjoy the NYX brand lipsticks because they are great quality, highly pigmented and affordable. Take a look at Emily’s video and let me know your thoughts.

I love the new PINK nail designs I’ve been seeing. Pink is my favorite color and it’s also a color that looks great on all skin tones. I am currently wearing a very nice neon pink on my nails and I find it to be the perfect color for summer. Pink is perfect for all ages and has the ability to be daring, seductive and innocent at the same time. Here are a few of my favorite pink nail designs for the summer.

I went to get my nails done this past week and I allowed my nail technician to select a color for me. At first I was a little apprehensive because I had already selected a color for my nails. I am very open to nail designs and polish colors so I said why not try something new. Well, she picked a gold glitter gel polish that at first glance I thought would be too much to wear everyday! Boy was I wrong, the polish looked great and I get compliments everyday from girls and women of all ages. After experiencing the glitter polish I had to share some glitter nail designs with each of you, I hope you enjoy! Remember the key is to have fun, it’s only nail polish it can be removed. 🙂
I love wearing false eyelashes but I haven’t mastered wearing them every day, I am not sure I really want too. False eyelashes seem like the “in” thing and everyone is wearing them to enhance their looks. I have paid to have my eyelashes enhanced with “extensions” and I have even put them on myself. I use the Red Cherry brand of lashes, they have a variety of lashes for you to choose from and are very affordable.
I honestly prefer putting them on myself because it’s more affordable and maintains the health of my eyes. I wear glasses and contacts so whenever I have had the “extensions” done my eyes were always irritated. Either way I wanted to share a fun info-graphic and video with my makeup lovers on how to apply false eyelashes. I hope you enjoy!
46 Benefits and Uses for Coconut Oil
I had to share this great info graphic from coconut-oil-tips.com on uses for Coconut Oil. I mentioned in the previous post how much I use Coconut Oil and how much I love it. I am a believer and can tell you that Coconut Oil should be a staple in everyone’s home.
My close friends and family all know that I LOVE making homemade beauty products. I really enjoy making body scrubs, lotion bars, bath teas and lip scrubs. My favorite thing to do is to discover which herbs and essential oils are natural healers for a specific issue and add them to my products. I often times make these homemade products as gifts to give away to my friends and family.
I recently decided to start selling my products at a great Organic and All Natural Bath and Body Consignment Store here is Phoenix called Good Body. I have been playing in the kitchen with ideas on which products to sell and how to keep it simple. I realized as I was creating that all of these products are very easy for anyone to do, so I wanted to share a recipe with each of you.
I like lotion bars because they are convenient and easy to use when you need to get lotion all over your body. You can add oils to them or keep it simple. I use coconut oil every day on my skin and hair, so my recipe calls for coconut oil, grape seed oil and sweet almond oil. All three of these oils are great for your skin and wonderful moisturizers which is why they are key to a great lotion bar. The key to healthy skin is to keep it moisturized and drink LOTS of water. I hope you enjoy!
Le Belle Amour Luscious Lotion Bars
- 1 cup Shea Butter
- 1 cup Coconut Oil
- ¼ cup Grape Seed Oil
- ¼ cup Sweet Almond Oil
- 1 cup Beeswax
- 1 tsp Vitamin E Oil (optional)
- 20 drops Essential Oil (optional)
- Fill a small saucepan with 3-4 inches of water and bring to a boil.
- Add Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, and Beeswax to a mason jar and set the mason jar into the pot.
- Boil until melted, then remove from heat. You can microwave the ingredients if you like but I prefer to boil the mixture.
- Add Grape Seed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil ,Vitamin E Oil and your preferred Essential Oil, and stir until well incorporated.
- While still liquid, pour lotion into silicone molds and allow the mixture to harden. I use a silicone cupcake tray, but I would recommend using what works best for you.
- Allow the bars to cool for a few hours by placing them in the freezer. Once that have harden, just remove the lotion bars, and begin using them.
